Does this not look like a luxurious place to spend a week? Or maybe two?
This is Bayhouse Villa: an intriguing, modern, 3-bedroom, escape on Virgin Gorda. And that pool! Don’t you just want to dive right in?
If the pool doesn’t suit, take a short stroll down a private path to an intimate beach, nestled between grand boulders, akin to those found at nearby Devil’s Bay at The Baths.
Michael and I recently received a tour from the owner himself. We met through social media and he kindly opened the massive doors and allowed us to take a peek inside. Although, once you’re “inside” it feels like you’re outside, as any Caribbean escape should.
The envelopment of nature sets off the modern design. That’s the beauty of this place. The breezes sweep through the home, around the sharp, concrete edges and fill it with a friendly warmth – such a nice contrast to the cool, contemporary elements.
Click on the link to see some interior shots from the villa’s website… One of my favorite features is the window-encased shower. Privacy is in abundance at Bayhouse Villa. And part of the intrigue? No two windows are the same size. The owner collaborated with architects at OBM International to create the space. The villa is even featured on the company’s homepage.
So, what does a private, 3-bedroom contemporary estate on Virgin Gorda run these days? Between $700 – $2100 per night. Click here to book your stay at Bay House Villa.
Many thanks to Stefan for the hospitality!
